Dr. Craig Crippen – Kelowna

Dr. Craig Crippen was born and raised in our nations capital, Ottawa. He attended the University of Ottawa and obtained both a B.Sc.(Honours) in Chemistry and an M.Sc. in Pharmacology/Molecular Biology.

Following these degrees Dr. Crippen was accepted into Medicine at the University of Western Ontario where he was involved in a variety of research studies that included Eye disease and Endoscopic procedures.

After medical school, Dr. Crippen attended the University of Manitoba and completed his CCFP training in Family Medicine as Chief Resident and member of the PARIM (Professional Association of Interns and Residents in Manitoba) for two years. Dr. Crippen started full-time medical practice in 2003 with special interest in cosmetic procedures such as Botox/Juvederm injections and light source treatments. Dr. Crippen also assisted in starting a cosmetic surgical/medical clinic in Banff in the year 2004 in addition to introducing minor cosmetic procedures to the city of Grande Prairie Alberta at that time.

In early 2008 Dr. Crippen met the team at Aesthetic Solutions in Kelowna and decided to move here and practice in this wonderful community full-time doing the work he loves.

Dr. Perold Louw – Penticton

Dr. Perold Louw graduated from Medical School (MBChB) in 1992 in South Africa, after which he obtained his Masters degree in Family Medicine. He is currently in active Family Practice in Naramata, just outside Penticton. He worked as an ER Physician in Saudi Arabia and South Africa where he gained significant experience in Trauma Medicine. He also worked at a private hospital on the Isle of Wight (United Kingdom). Dr. Louw came to Canada in 2000 and has been working as a Family Physician first in Manitoba and then relocated to the Okanagan in 2004. 

From early 2006, Dr. Louw received training for Botox cosmetic, dermal filler injections, as well as various treatment modalities in the cosmetic field. He is married to Sunette who is an artist, and they have two children.

Dr. Johan Boshoff – Penticton

Dr Boshoff completed his medical degree (MBChB) in 1994 in Pretoria, South Africa and served his internship at a teaching hospital in Klersdorp, South Africa. He continued to work and receive training there in the fields of surgery and trauma medicine for 3 years. His family decided to relocate to Canada in 1998. He spent the first year in Canada providing relief work in Saskatchewan before accepting a position as family physician at the South Similkameen Health Center until early 2006. He currently shares a family practice in Penticton. Dr. Boshoff is married to Helga who has a background in professional modeling, event planning and public speaking. They have two beautiful young girls and enjoy life in the Okanagan.

Dr Johan Boshoff is a certified family physician (CCFP) with a special interest in surgical procedures. Dr Boshoff has received training for Botox and dermal filler injections, lipodissolve and various other medical aesthetic treatments. His commitment is to provide clients with a comprehensive range of aesthetic treatment options as to best suit their individual needs.

Dr. JS Badenhorst – Red Deer

Dr. JS Badenhorst was born in the Cape Province, South Africa and graduated in 1988 from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He did his internship in Windhoek, Namibia and did military service after that for two years that included 8 months of intensive anaesthetic training.

He started his own family practice in Swellendam, South Africa in 1991 where he did a variety of anaesthetic and surgical procedures.

He and his family moved to Prince Albert, SK, Canada in 2000 where he practiced until 2003. They moved to Red Deer in June 2003 where he joined Dr. Swarts in a family practice.

He is married to Marianne, a trained pharmacist and laser technician with special experience and interest in dermatological care. They have three children, Frans, Cecile and Kobus.

Dr. Badenhorst also does medical research for a variety of pharmaceutical companies as their investigator. He started doing Botox and fillers in 2008 and received intensive training in Canada as well as the USA for a wide range of aesthetic procedures. This enables him to provide the best possible treatment options suitable for his clients.

Dr. Peter Swarts – Red Deer

Born and raised in Namibia, Dr. Peter Swarts graduated from Medical School in 1988 at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He practiced as a family physician with special interest in surgical procedures in Cape Town, South Africa for 10 years.

Dr. Swarts made Canada his home in 1998. He joined a family practice in Drayton Valley, Alberta and moved to Red Deer after 5 years. He is currently the owner of Easthill Medical Center in Red Deer.

He is married to Elmarie, who does interior planning and decoration for a building company that they are part owners of. They have two children.

Dr. Swarts started doing Botox and dermal fillers in 2005. He received extensive training in a wide range of other medical aesthetics treatment modalities to provide his patients with the best possible treatment options that suit their needs.
