Dermapen is recommended for:
December 2016 - January 2020
Dermapen and PRP is a skin treatment that increases the collagen production on the skin, evens out skin structure and skin tone and tightens the skin. The rejuvenating effect on the skin makes this combined treatment very popular with our patients. Everyone can have Dermapen and PRP treatment, regardless of skin type or skin tone. A treatment session takes about 90 minutes and is tailored after every client depending on treatment area and skin problem. We treat face, neck, décolletage and hands.
During a treatment with Dermapen, we cause a controlled injury in the skin by puncturing it with 12 sterile micro needles. The micro injury triggers the skin’s natural healing process and the body starts producing collagen to rebuild the skin again. The results from the treatment is similar to that of laser, but Dermapen has a shorter recovery time and can be used on all skin types and skin tones, which is not the case with laser. Together with PRP, the recovery time for Dermapen is even faster and you can see results quicker.
Microneedling is a collective term for needle treatments. Microneedling can be divided into two categories, traditional / manual microneedling and automatic microneedling. Traditional or manual microneedling usually refers to needle rollers, also called needle rollers. Needle rollers are a cylinder that is rolled over the skin to increase collagen production in the skin and thus treat several different skin problems.
Dermapen counts as automatic microneedling. It causes less epidermal damage and is a more effective form of treatment than needle rollers. The dermapen looks like a pencil where 16 needles are punched into the skin and creates 1920 microchannels per second. Thanks to the amount of microchannels Dermapen creates, it is more efficient than needle rollers and you can thus expect a better result.

Before treatment starts, it is important that you come to a consultation. Our consultations are always free of charge. We go through which problem areas or skin problems you want to treat. Thereafter, we will help you book a treatment that is exclusively tailored for you and your skin, so that you can get the best results.
If you have makeup, we will remove it from your skin so that we can put numbing cream over the treatment area. The numbing cream is left on for 45 minutes. During that time, we draw your blood and centrifuge it so that your blood plasma is prepared for your PRP treatment.
The patient’s blood plasma is drawn into injections with 1 mm thin needles. The positive growth factors from the blood plasma, are injected into the skin to boost the skin’s healing process and collagen production.
